Oh yeah, I forgot to inform you all about the weirdest copyright notice I’ve ever gotten on YouTube.

When I uploaded the soundtrack for User Unknwn, the second track got identified as Useless by Depeche Mode.

The drum pattern is similar, but that is where the similarities end. Different tempo, different key, different Everything.

The drum sample I used was from Zero-G’s Funky Elements pack. The drums themselves sound nothing like the drums in Useless. Just the pattern. And you can’t copyright a pattern.

Plus, when I uploaded the offending track by itself…nothing happened. It’s been two days and there’s still no restrictions on it.
